Andrew Liversidge sent me photos taken on a recent trip to Bougainville by Michael Cowan, who now works on Lihir Island for Newcrest Mining. They should bring back many memories and may shock some of you. They will certainly make you sad when you see what has become of what had been a vibrant community and a very profitable copper mine. |
