Paul Nerau

Hi, My name is Paul E Nerau, I am now living in Brisbane as the Consul General for Papua New Guinea for the last 6 years. I come from Buin in South Bougainville. My association with Bougainville Copper Ltd started in 1968 as a student from Marist Brothers, Rigu I worked at the Pilot Plant at Pan Flat for 6 weeks on Christmas Vacation Job. In 1969, I again worked in the Barapinang Supermarket as a Cashier during Chistmas Vacation.

In 1971 I took up University Studies in Law under BCL Scholarship and Graduated in 1975. After that I joined BCL only for 3 months and resigned to join Gary Ray at BDC. BDC also arranged for my secondment with Mallensons Stephen Jaques, Lawyers in Sydney in 1977. Returned after the 12 months and took up appointment with BDC.

I can honestly say that BCL was by far the BEST Trainers in PNG. I have recognised many names on this site and May I say you are all welcome to Bougainville, the Paradise on Earth! The Reunion in Brisbane 2010 you are all welcome.
