Hi Peter
my name is Peter Svoboda and just found your super Bougainville memories blog. It was a picture in particular provided by David White that got my full attention. I recognised him and myself on it.
I came in june 1969 to Pan Flat to be the assistant catering officer and later on was the chef in camp No 2. I recall some great fun, cricket matches in the camp and the easygoing friendship.Later on I ran the VIP quarters in Panguna.
Well, we were young and so eager.
